Zach Weed

Zach Weed is appropriately enthusiastic about being able to begin writing a new work with The New Colony Writers’ Room. He acted in The New Colony Associate Company’s Fall/Winter show HERE AFTER this past December. Prior to joining the Associate Company, Zach premiered his one-act play “A Regretful Tea Party” at the Unchained Theatre Festival in Queens, New York. It was not only his first written work to be professionally produced, but also his first time acting alongside his older brother Jordan. His undergraduate studies took him across the country to Chapman University in Orange County, California where he earned a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance in 2014. However, Zach decided to eschew beautiful weather in exchange for sanity and returned home to Chicago, where he was born and raised, to continue his professional career. As an actor, he has worked with Shakespeare Orange County (A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and MACBETH) and Dandelion Theatre (THE COAT CHECK).  Lastly, Zach would like to briefly draw your attention to his “Millennial Musings” blog, in which he occasionally rants about art, music, NBA basketball. Jimmy Buckets for MVP!
