Vanessa Valliere

Vanessa S. Valliere is originally from Rhode Island, where she was assistant director to Molly Smith on How I Learned to Drive at Trinity Repertory Company. She was the AD on several productions at the Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theater where she also directed Edward Albees The Amercian Dream. She was a proud member of The Sparkling Beatniks, the in-house comedy troupe for the Empire Revue at AS220, and also the occasional merry maker/puppeteer with Big Nazo.
Rhode Island is a really small place.
In a fit of geographic claustrophobia Vanessa flipped out in 2007, gave away all of her furniture, and moved to Japan for a year and some, where she taught English and learned how to swing dance.
Upon returning to the States, she moved to Chicago where she performed with the Neo-Futurists, hacking at a piano in Mr. Fluxus and breaking her finger in Fear. She was also Assistant Director to the Neos Founding Director, Greg Allen, on I Am a Camera. Vanessa performed in the devised piece You Enjoy Myself at Sketchbook 2010. This coming summer and fall, Vanessa will be touring as a member of the clown ensemble with New Belgium Brewing Companys Tour De Fat. Vanessa is a clown/cheerleader for Chicagos own circus-punk marching band MUCCA PAZZA.
She has a really solid crush on The New Colony. Its pretty serious. Seriously.
