Sarah Illiatovitch-Goldman is bonkers thrilled to be working with The New Colony. Sarah is a multi-hat theatre wearer, though rumour has it she’s a playwright, though maybe a director, sometimes an actor, and when riled up about money - a producer. She is definitely NOT a stage manager (though she worships the ground they walk on, what a hard job!) Sarah hails from Toronto, Canada where she runs a small theatre company Cue6 which had the honour of giving The New Colony’s Kate And Sam Are NOT Breaking Up its Canadian debut. In Chicago Sarah has worked many companies including Collaboraction, Sideshow, Strawdog, Broken Nose, and Steppenwolf. She also penned the brilliantly epic parody burlesque The Oregon Tail: You Have Died Of Sexy which was produced by Gorilla Tango. In 2011 Sarah was one of 3 people across Canada to be shortlisted for the RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwright’s Award and in 2015 she was a semi-finalist for the National Playwright’s Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Centre. Her play The Name Of The Rabbit Was Peter: An Adaptation of Beatrix Potter Stories is part of Strawdog Theatre’s 2015/16 season. Sarah is a husband to one, a step-mother to two, and a big fan of all of you!
