Sarah Gitenstein hails from Washington, DC and has been living in Chicago for the past 5 years. She earned her BA in Theater from Kenyon College (Cum Laude), where she won the 2005 Joanne Woodward Award for best performance by an actress. In DC, Sarah worked with Studio Theater, Washington Shakespeare Company, and The Source Theater.  Sarah is a proud company member at both Collaboraction Theater and The New Colony Theater. Sarah has worked with Collaboraction for six years and has cast, assistant-directed, and performed in numerous critically acclaimed productions, including: The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, Sketchbook 7,8, and 9, as well as Jon. Sarah performed in Sketchbook 9’s Beatrice and Beau (Audience Choice Award winner).  Sarah has also performed with numerous Chicago companies, including: Bohemian Theater, Curious Theater, Pavement Group, Teatro Vista, Slimtack Theater, and Timeline Theater. For the New Colony,  Sarah has performed in Calls To Blood and 11:11.
