Ryan Oliveira

Ryan Oliveira is a playwright, dramaturg, performer, and theatrical jack-of-all-trades.  Recent credits include a workshop of Desire in a Tinier House with Commission Theatre Co. (April 2017), and performances of Here (three elegies for a gay club), as part of NoPassport Theatre’s Pulse Action in London, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles throughout the fall of 2016.  He has been a finalist for the 2016 Fetzer Foundation for Emerging Artists Grant (Passing Time in Animal Town) and the 2017 Many Voices Fellowship at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis (Chaos); a 2016 Romulus Linney Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference (Chaos); and a semi-finalist for the O’Neill Theatre Conference (Chaos, 2017; The Rigel Event, 2014), the 2015 PlayPenn Conference (The Rigel Event).  He last worked with the New Colony on Spenser Davis’ Merge in October 2016 and is happy to return with the crew on Punk!
