Kate Carson-Groner is thrilled to be working with The New Colony after almost a year of calling them, breathing heavily into the phone, and then hanging up. Originally from the tiny town of Elkin, NC, Kate is in constant awe of the bright lights in the big city. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in theatre and a minor in vocal performance, so naturally she has a day job as an administrative assistant. When she’s not working on SLS, she can be found performing around town with her beloved (and Chicago Improv Festival performing) all-girl improv team Eleanor, and with the über-fun comedy folk band Vintage Gramma. Kate co-writes and performs in the webseries Funemployed, and occasionally pops up in a Musical Improv venture at Second City. She has assistant-directed for StageLeft Theatre’s LeapFest, and is currently co-writing a musical about Renaissance Festivals. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and Music Improv Program, and now studies at iO. Thanks to everyone at TNC, and much love to MBL.
