Ira Ochs brings an eclectic range of influences into his role playing cello for The Warriors.  A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Ira was performing in symphonies and swing bands by age 11.  Since his arrival in Chicago in 2008, Ira has performed and recorded with folk singers, jazz artists, rappers, and rock bands in addition to composing and teaching lessons.  He is most often seen performing with trip-hop singer Scarlet Monk or as artist-in-residence for the Laboratory Dancers.  This is his first collaboration with The New Colony.
