Caitlin Looney

Caitlin Looney is overjoyed to be joining The New Colony’s Writers’ Room! Caitlin recently graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Comedy Writing & Performance and has been hustling ever since. Caitlin made her professional theatrical debut in Steep Theatre’s 2014 production of “If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet,” and since then Caitlin has been performing, writing and directing around the city. Caitlin is currently the director and producer of MAGIC CITY, a sketch comedy group, that has had two successful runs in the Second City Training Center’s Donny’s Skybox. Caitlin has written and performed several one woman shows—most recently “FUCKBOYS” which premiered at the Chicago Women’s Funny Festival in June—and had her play “BAGELS” mounted in April as part of Columbia’s Fresh Play Prize Festival. Caitlin loves Phish Food ice cream, finger painting and Beyoncé, but not necessarily in that order.
