B.B. Cooper

B.B. Cooper is a playwright, producer, and activist raised in Chicago. She is a Senior Producing Coordinator with Black Lives, Black Words International Project and a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago. Producer credits include I Am… Festival (Black Lives, Black Words in partnership with Goodman Theatre) and The Our Chicago Project (Black Lives, Black Words held at Collaboraction Theatre’s Encounter Series 2018). B.B.‘s 10 minute plays have been produced around Chicago including: Missing, (Collaboraction Theatre’s Encounter Series, Shorts, 2019), Panel Discussion (Black Lives Black Words, The Our Chicago Project). The Perfect Storm (Black Lives, Black Words - Chicago 3), Ellen, The Bean and Nelle (20% Theatre‚Äôs Our City, Our Stories, Snapshots Festival), and Call and Response (Black Lives, Black Words - Chicago 2). B.B. is currently working with Mothers Opposed to Violence Everywhere to create an artistic response that is developed in tandem with community efforts to raise awareness and demand resources for missing Black women and girls from Chicago.
