“Explosively funny! …creating a smart and campy adventure.”
“…a very entertaining and deceptively intelligent first production from a fresh new company.”

RECOMMENDED!
“It’s smart, primal fun.“ “Kevin Stangler is spot-on as the gee-whiz Iowa kid struggling with his feelings for the married Earhart; Michael Peters is suitably villainous as the brass-balled Altamont CEO; and Nicholas Hernon scores as the bumbling Douglas, the lackey with a creamy, moral center.”
Broadway World
“The laughs are plentiful and the ideas are thought provoking.”
“As the first performance by a brand new company, this play makes a stellar debut and the opening of what should be a promising season of original plays.”
Chicago Reader
“A fine, quirky wit and large amounts of imagination.”
TimeOut Chicago
“…moving and gritty, but strangely comedic—a testament to director Hobgood’s ability to find humor in uncomfortable situations.”
Talkin’ Broadway
“Daniel Jessup is perfect as the brainy and nerdy Professor Pin…”
“Hobgood and his cast capture the perfect two-dimensional tones required of these pulpy characters and display some impressive dance-inspired movement.”

About the New Colony
The New Colony was founded by a group of young, professional actors, writers and directors in Chicago, dedicated to the creation and production of exciting, original theatrical experiences.
Having worked in and out of Chicago and after establishing their careers with honors such as writing scholarships, winning the World's Playwright Competition, and invitations to theater festivals around the country - including The New York International Fringe Festival where they have been recognized for Outstanding Musical (2006) and Best Music and Lyrics (2008), our founders decided to collaborate their efforts in the form of The New Colony.
Determined to capture Chicago’s theatrical roots of risk-taking, innovative theater and story-telling, The New Colony sets out to create a theater experience that will welcome, engage and immerse our audiences; making them feel like they are a member of the New Colony community rather than just an anonymous observer.
